Following is the Adjective Story that was written by Aunt Deanne. This was a tradition which was started by Grandma Porter's (VaLoy Shumway Porter) mother......Gladys Shumway.  The adjectives in the story were randomly submitted by family members who attended the reunion then inserted into the story.  Enjoy!!!

Porter Family Adjective Story - Reunion June 2014

~ Written by Deanne with the help of ALL OF YOU! ~

            Woo-hoo!  It's finally here - the time when the DEAD family members of Melvin & VaLoy Porter gather at the PLAIN Grover Shelter.

            We are grateful that FLUSTERED Layne & CROSS-EYED Jean have organized this gathering for us. 

            Along with them have come their children, spouses & grandchildren.  Their oldest - CRANKY Darin & his RESURRECTED wife, Amy are here.  What a feat they are accomplishing raising 5 simply adorable daughters:  COMPETITIVE Aryn, FUN Ari, EXUBERANT Afton, PHOTOGENIC Amry, and PURPLE Aeden. 

            Next in line is the 2nd daughter, MORAL Brenda & her husband, HAPPY Brian.  We all feel so GRUMPY when we reunite with them.  They have their kids here (minus one) too:  STICKY Austin, FLAVORFUL Dallin, INTELLIGENT Brooklyn, & HAPPY Jordan. 

            Becky is not here, but her kids CRAZY Kyle & SQUISHY Jared came along for the fun.

            FLUSTERED Ramona & GLOOMY Devin also showed up Saturday with their baby, GLOWING Jett. 

            And, of course, we have 2 more of Layne's family which bring smiles to our faces:  COMEDIC Brian and EXCITED Shawn.

            Next down the family line come FABULOUS Ellis & his wife, JOYFUL Terry.  And, of course, how great it is to see - all the way from North Carolina, MISUNDERSTOOD Laura and her husband, STRANGE Pablo with their GASEOUS kids:  AMBITIOUS Monica, IDIOTIC Arthur, & SUSPICIOUS Cita. 

            We are also glad that ECSTATIC Francine, her husband, WEEPY Ben, and their little boy GRUMPY Michael came to rough it in their teepee.

            Living nearby and making arrangements for this shelter is AWESOME McKell and his FLUFFY wife, Lesa.  Fortunately one of their kids is here - INSANE Kenna with her 3 children:  JOYOUS Kazia, CRAZY Kannon & baby, PLAYFUL Kyson. 

            Last, but not least, sleeping in the back of their pickup is Deanne with her HUMBLE husband, Kerry. 

           

            Our numbers are not as large as they were last year.  We have certainly missed our siblings:  ITCHY Mel, BUCK-TOOTHED Lori, and HAIRY Errol. 

            We love all of our family whether they are here or not.  May our love travel across the miles to all of them.  And as we part, may we all hold our memories dear - because we all feel so DELICIOUS that we have been here.
